As with any relationship, compatibility between a therapist and client is so important. I’m not the right fit for everyone and that’s okay! If you’re still on the fence, take a look below and let me help you decide.
First, let’s chat for a few minutes by phone or video to answer any questions and make sure we’re a fit.
Then, you can schedule a regular weekly or biweekly session time to help you make this work a priority.
I will send you all paperwork by email, including an intake assessment to help get us started.
Yes, I can bill United Healthcare, Aetna, Premera and Regence/BCBS directly and you are only billed for your copay at the time of service.
Your insurance will determine your copay but I can verify your benefits before you start (final determination still depends on your insurance company). In addition, if you cancel a session with less than 24 hours notice I charge $25 and if you no-show your session I charge the full service fee of $125.
I am in Washington State and all sessions are conducted through video calls or in person.
Yes, you must be in the state of Washington at the time of our session. If you are out of town, let me know ahead of time and we can reschedule.
I only provide individual counseling to women and adolescent girls. However, I provide couples counseling and therapy groups to people of any gender.
I do provide services to older teens; however, I do not use techniques more appropriate for younger kids, such as games or art projects. For me to be the right fit, girls need to be able to engage in a more adult-style conversation and be personally motivated to be in therapy.
You should expect to talk a lot. I hope you will also laugh, sometimes cry and always feel a little lighter. Our sessions are just conversations; there is no right or wrong way to do it.
